Born in Venezuela and relocating to South Florida at the age of 12, Luis Lanz has always had an unshakable passion for cars and motorsports. After graduating from college, he founded PartsW in 2011, an online aftermarket parts retailer, with the goal of creating a sustainable business to support his family and fund his racing career.
For over a decade, Luis dedicated himself to refining his driving skills through relentless practice and competition. His hard work paid off when he secured the 2022 NASA FL ST3 championship. While his background was primarily in circuit racing, a new passion for drifting took hold in 2020.
Determined to master the sport, he immersed himself in Florida's grassroots drift scene, steadily improving his skills. In 2022, Luis entered a single Formula D ProAm event on a whim—and shocked everyone by taking the win. Motivated by this unexpected success, he committed to the 2023 USDC Formula D ProAm championship, ultimately emerging as champion and earning his Formula Drift PROSPEC license.
Luis’s journey has been fueled by the unwavering support of his family and sponsors. Now, he’s ready to proudly represent Venezuela and Latinos worldwide as he continues his climb in the world of professional drifting.
