How do I get a Formula DRIFT Pro License?
Drivers looking to gain a Formula DRIFT Pro License can do this two ways.
1) Compete in an authorized Formula DRIFT ProAm Series where the top ranking drivers will received an automatic license.
2) File a petition. The licensing committee will review your petition based on various criteria including past results and experience in competition drifting.
How do I get a Formula DRIFT Pro2 license?
Who is eligible to compete in PRO2 for 2014:
PRO drivers NOT ranked #1 through #16 from 2013 season are eligible. FD ProAm drivers that received a 2014 PRO License.
How to earn PRO2 License for 2015:
Top ranked drivers in one of the Formula DRIFT licensing series / FD Pro-AM series Petition (based on approval)
How to Retain PRO2 License for 2015:
Driver must acquire a minimum of 64 competition points in Formula DRIFT PRO2 Championship
*All 2014 Rookies will be guaranteed a spot in PRO2 for 2015
How is a drifting competition judged?
Judging is done via a 3 personal judging panel. There are two parts to each competition. First is the single car qualifying runs. Then it is the two car head-to-head battles. For more detailed info, please go to our judging information page
